Services Offered
Vaccines
We offer routine vaccinations of puppies, kittens, cats and dogs.
Puppies and kittens get vaccinated on a three week schedual, starting at 6-8 weeks of age until they have completed their respective series. These visits include a physical examination, internal parasite testing as appropriate, and vaccinations.
Adult cats and dogs get vacinated on a six month schedual starting at six months of age and continuing for the life of the pet. Annual and semi-annual vaccine appointments include a physical examination, internal parasite testing, and vaccines.
Basic Grooming
We offer basic grooming services such and bathing and nail trimming. Body shaving is also available for animals that may be too matted to be combed out, or just need some releif from the summer heat. Please note that this is not a "show cut" or other type of breed specific style of groom.
Diagnostic Testing
We offer a full range of diagnostic testing including routine fecal and heartworm testing, urinalysis, skin parasite testing, feline aids and leukemia testing, and blood tests of all kinds. Testing that requires sending out to external labs such as biopsies, bacterial and fungal cultures, and allgery testing can also be performed on an as-needed basis.
Tatoos and Microchipping
We offer and highly recommend tatooing and microchipping as perminent forms af identification. Tatoos are usually placed in the ear or on the inner thigh and usually consist of a few letters and/or numbers (ONLY), chosen by the owner. This procedure requires sedation and can be performed at the time of a surgery if requested. Microchipping involves implanting a microchip under the skin between the shoulder blades with the use of a special needle. This procedure does not require sedation, but can also be performed at the time of a surgery if requested. The microchip comes with a tag displaying a serial number that needs to be registered with the manufacturer in a national database. This allows you to be contacted should your pet be found and scanned for his microchip.
Surgeries
We offer routine spay and neuter surgeries on cats and dogs, but also can spay and neuter other pets such as pot bellied pigs, rabbits, and guinea pigs. We also offer other soft tissue and orthopedic surgical services acorss a wide variety of small animal species, not just cats and dogs.
We DO NOT perform cosmetic surgeries such as ear cropping.
Artificial Insemination
We offer reproductive assistance for dogs who need help. We can perform inseminations with fresh collected semen (collected at our facility by our staff) or using chilled semen that has been shipped in.
We DO NOT perform inseminations using frozen semen.
